 Cattura The aim of this CHARISMA Oriented - topics event is to explore how technical examination of Renaissance artefacts sheds light not only on their materials and manufacturing techniques, but also on the prevailing European workshop practice in the fourteenth to sixteenth centuries.
Suggested themes for presentations include: evidence of workshop practice from examination and analysis of artefacts; inter-relations between different crafts and trades; supply, demand and trading; documentary evidence of workshop practice and materials.
While the conference themes cover all types of materials, the focus will be on objects rather than monuments and buildings, although decorative elements within buildings, such as wall paintings, terracottas and furnishings will be included.
The conference language will be English.
