The "AR&PA" International Conference will take place in the 8th AR&PA Biennial of Restoration and Management of Cultural Heritage, the reference trade fair for professionals and institutions in the fields of conservation, restoration and management of Cultural Heritage in Europe. The 2012 conference edition is focused on Innovation in Cultural Heritage
AR&PA Innovation is organized by the Spanish Castilla & León Regional Authority in close liaison with the European Commission - DG Research and Innovation and Tecnalia Research Centre.
Since 1998, Valladolid, ES  has hosted AR&PA every two years. The event's exhibitors, international congress, the great quality and number of conferences held and its cultural heritage workshops and programmes have made the AR&PA Biennial the leading trade fair in the sector in Europe.

The Objective of AR&PA Innovation was to provide a contact point for researchers who had developed prototype technologies and products with potential end users, such as companies, institutions, public bodies and professionals.
tHE EVENT also aims to serve as a platform to show the results of relevant research projects in cultural heritage that have been carried out in the 7th Framework Programme of the European Commission (2007-2013).
