CRYSPOM III Crystallization in Porous Media (9/4/2012 - 9/7/2012) Stampa contenuto

image Workshop organised by: TU/e Eindhoven University of Technology Dept. of Applied Physics, NL and LNEC National Laboratory for Civil Engineering, PT
Place:  Aqualuz Suite Hotel, Tróia PT
Address:  Tróia, Portugal, PT

The workshop focuses on fundamental research of crystallization in porous materials. It aims for a better understanding of damage mechanisms, as a basis for the implementation of appropriate preventive and protective measures.
This third edition of the workshop will also focus on the development of low energy heat storage systems based on salts. The idea is to bring together leading researchers and PhD students to provide a constructive and open dialogue. It seeks also to promote collaborations between theoreticians and experimentalists on an international level.

Topics : Nucleation and crystal growth in the pore network; Crystallization pressure and its relation with damage; Behaviour of salt mixtures; Influence of salts on moisture transport and drying; Measures for prevention or remediation of salt decay; Methods for control of crystallization; Heat storage by salts.

Authors who wish to give a presentation are asked to write an extended abstract. The abstract should be written in English and should be max. two pages long (A4 size). Please indicate your preference for oral or poster presentation along with your abstract submission. It should present the scope, objectives, methods, main results and conclusions of the research.

Futher information
Scope, Topics, Information for authors, Registration, etc. see the event website.
Abstract submission deadline:  May 15  (oral presentations and posters):
Abstracts can submitted from Feb 2012 - May 2012 and should be emailed to Marlouke Creemers-Samuels cryspom@tue.nl tel: +31 40 247 42 48; fax: +31 40 243 25 98
