The Steering Committee is chaired by the Coordinator and consists of the WP leaders  in personal capacity. It is the executive  of the project, performing the supervision of the project’s overall coherence, the realization of the planned tasks, fulfillment of the milestones, reporting to the Governing Board.

The Steering Committee meets at least twice a year and is responsible for CHARISMA’s actual governance , as well as being in charge of directing quality assurance and technical progress of the project.

A Partner, or Party, is an institution which commits resources to the project and signs the Grant Agreement. The Coordinator is the intermediary between the Partners and the European Commission.

The Project Office composed by UNIPG and APRE, represents the managerial corner  overseeing the smooth implementation of the CHARISMA plan with regard to the daily project management tasks, such as, communications among partners, the preparation of Governing Board and Steering Committee meetings, reporting activities to the Commission, follow-up of planning schedule and  issue reminders for deliverables completion.

The Extra-Mural Advisory Committee chaired by the Coordinator provides independent scientific advice to the Project. At the mid-term project life an EMAC Evaluation Report is expected helping the project to monitor the performed work and to suggest the best  framework strategy to meet the planned objectives and the participatory process.

Two  User Group Meetings are planned to take place during the project lifetime bringing together the EU funded  access users teams presenting  the successful projects and results, and  potential users of infrastructure  discussing the future needs, developments and challenges, as well as possible accessibility of CHARISMA user-oriented infrastructures.

The annual   General Meetings  (kick-off, first-year, mid-term, third-year, and final meeting, each one held within 4 weeks of its natural end-line) include all CHARISMA community (partners, observers and advisors).
They are a discussion forum about the work packages, the ongoing work and the outcome (and also scientific and dissemination issues). The mid-term meeting is specifically devoted to monitor and review the overall program and development of the project and allow possible changes to be made according to new developments, contingency plans, etc. Each General Meeting will produce statements and proposals to be taken into consideration by the Governing Board in planning future activities.
